Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Maure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slade Wilson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dan Maure's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Slade Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Maure!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maure throws a combination that misses

and Wilson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Maure's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I've been told that Maure has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Wilson dives in for a single leg takedown but Maure sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Maure closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maure connects with a crisp jab.
Maure misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wilson tries to counter with a takedown but Maure is quick to defend against it.
Wilson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wilson throws a lazy right hand but Maure sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Maure on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The fighters circle momentarily. Maure darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Maure throws a hook to the side of Wilson's head but Wilson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Maure scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Maure shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wilson is trying to defend but Maure finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Maure can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Wilson wants to pass to mount but Maure is defending the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Maure wants to control but Wilson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Dan Maure comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Maure has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
