The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rose darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Rose wants to work for an arm triangle but Schwarzeneg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rose throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Schwarzeneg keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Rose is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Rose is looking for a kimura but Schwarzeneg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rose to get the leverage.
Schwarzeneg is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rose scores with a couple of nice shots.

Schwarzeneg is looking to get back to is feet but Rose passes into side control.
Rose lands some shots froms side control.
Rose has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rose wants to control but Schwarzeneg is keeping him busy.
Schwarzeneg takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Rose cracks Schwarzeneg with a big right hand but Schwarzeneg just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
