Baroni's entrance music is Beastie Boys- Fight for your right. A fine choice. Shaman has chosen Showdown as his entrance music. Joe Baroni has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Baroni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blind Shaman!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baroni swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Baroni works Shaman's body with a nice hook.
Good standup being displayed there by Baroni as he connects with a hook.


It looks like Blind Shaman has been cut.
Baroni walks into a straight right hand from Shaman.
Baroni takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Baroni slips under a jab from Shaman.
Baroni throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shaman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Shaman shoots in but no luck this time.
Shaman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Baroni slips a jab from Shaman.
Shaman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've been informed that Shaman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shaman lands a slapping body shot.
Shaman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Baroni stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shaman lands with an overhand left.
Shaman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shaman shapes to counter with a head kick.
Shaman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Baroni lands with a nice combination. Shaman backs away looking to recover.
Shaman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Shaman scores with a crisp jab that stopped Baroni in his tracks.
Good leg kick by Shaman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shaman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Baroni takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Baroni misses with a body punch
and Shaman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Shaman takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Baroni throws a lazy uppercut
and Shaman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


Baroni is rocked!
The fighters circle momentarily. Shaman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oh Baroni is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shaman cracks Baroni on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Baroni falls backwards against the cage. Shaman follows up with more strikes that drop Baroni to his knees. Shaman keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Baroni! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blind Shaman!
Post fight, Blind Shaman took to the microphone: 'I died for him...inside I lost, because I could have prevented such a brutal finish. My Master in the underworld would have taken my other eye for such insolence.'.
