Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Orlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orlov comes to the cage accompanied by Daft Punk - Get Lucky. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Orlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Julian Reis!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orlov is looking to slow Reis down with leg kicks.
Reis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Orlov pinned against the cage. Orlov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Orlov feints and then cracks Reis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Reis down.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Orlov.
Orlov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Exiled Stand Up - Amsterdam in the buildup to the fight.
Orlov getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Reis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Orlov's waist but Orlov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reis off to one side.
Reis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Orlov throws a leg kick which misses Reis's front leg but catches the back leg as Reis tries to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reis looks for a takedown but Orlov sprawls well.
Alexander Orlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julian Reis.
Reis goes for a double leg but Orlov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Orlov continues to drive forward.
Reis tries to clinch but Orlov is having none of it.
Orlov feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Reis fails with the takedown
enabling Orlov to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Julian Reis has been cut.

Reis shoots in looking for a takedown but Orlov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Orlov jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
A nice inside leg kick there by Orlov. That's going to slow Reis down.
Reis ducks right into an uppercut from Orlov.
Reis tries to clinch but Orlov moves out of range.
Good leg kick by Orlov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Reis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Orlov pulls Reis in close to prevent any damage.
Reis throwing strikes from guard but Orlov blocks nicely.
Orlov controls Reis momentarily but Reis frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Orlov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Reis works his way to full guard. Good work.
Orlov trying to control the position from guard on top but Reis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Orlov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Reis controls Orlov momentarily but Orlov frees himself.

Orlov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Orlov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reis's guard.
Reis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Orlov wants to get back to his feet.
Reis is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Reis manages to get to full guard.
Orlov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Orlov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Reis is looking to sweep but instead, Orlov has passed into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Orlov is trying to control. Reis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Orlov swings for the body but Reis moves out of range.
Reis darts in looking for a takedown but Orlov gets double underhooks and turns Reis into the cage.
Orlov thows a body kick. Reis tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Reis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Orlov pinned against the cage. Orlov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alexander Orlov is winning the standup battle so far.
Orlov throws a nice inside leg kick.
Orlov lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Julian Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Orlov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Orlov counters with a solid body kick.

Reis closes the distance and clinches up with Orlov, looking for a takedown. Reis pushes Orlov against the cage but Orlov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Reis fails with a takedown attempt.
Reis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Orlov cracks the inside of Reis's front leg.
Reis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Some wild striking there from Reis.
Orlov lands with a slapping head kick.
Reis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Orlov as he avoids it easily.
Reis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Reis shoots in for a double leg but Orlov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reis is breathing heavily.
Orlov is looking to slow Reis down with leg kicks.
Orlov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Orlov moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reis walks into a stiff left hand from Orlov.
Julian Reis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Reis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Orlov to the mat! Orlov manages to get full guard.
Orlov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Orlov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Reis looking to pass the guard.
Julian Reis has got the better of the ground game so far.
Orlov is trying to keep Reis in close.
Reis looking to sit in guard and control but Orlov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Orlov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Reis is pulling down on Orlov's head. It's preventing any offense from Orlov, at least for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Reis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Orlov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Orlov wants to control from the top but Reis keeps moving.

Reis throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reis shoots in but Orlov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Reis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Orlov's corner calls for a 1-2. Orlov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Orlov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Orlov keeps the fight on the outside.
Reis moves to clinch but Orlov breaks away
and Orlov counters with a slapping leg kick.
Reis tries for a takedown but Orlov circles away easily
and Orlov counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Reis is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Orlov scores with a head kick. Reis tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Reis takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Reis takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Reis shoots in for a takedown but Orlov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Orlov thinks about countering with a head kick.
Reis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Orlov, as that shot connected.

Orlov punishes Reis's body with a nice straight punch.
Orlov feints and then cracks Reis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Reis down.

Orlov thumps Reis with a low kick.
Reis has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Orlov.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reis is defended easily by Orlov.
Reis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Orlov.
That kick from Orlov tenderised Reis's leg. Reis is trying to keep his angry face on.
Reis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Reis tries to clinch but Orlov is having none of it.
Reis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Orlov connects with a high kick.


Reis is rocked!
Orlov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Reis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Reis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Orlov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Reis is still on wobbly legs! Can Orlov finish him?


That has opened up Julian Reis's cut even more.
Orlov lands the left hand.
Orlov keeps Reis at a distance using the push kick.
Reis has a takedown stuffed.
Reis on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Reis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Orlov.
Julian Reis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Orlov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Whack! Orlov lands a heavy head kick that drops Reis. The ref tackles Orlov to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Reis was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Alexander Orlov!
A less than humble Alexander Orlov misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
