Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Noir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doc Chillum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Noir and Doc Chillum. Noir's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Pride. Chillum has chosen High Hopes - Pink Floyd as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chillum is looking to score with low kicks.
Noir drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chillum sprawls and moves away.
We've been hearing reports that Noir has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Chillum throws an overhand right that lands on Noir's shoulder, as Noir tries to avoid the shot.
Noir changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Chillum lands with a thumping leg kick.
Noir cracks a nice hook into Chillum's ribs.
Chillum digs a good hook to Noir's body.
Doc Chillum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Noir fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chillum to the ground. Noir is now in Chillum's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chillum is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Noir looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chillum is one step ahead there.
Chillum is looking to work some ground and pound but Noir has wrist control.
Noir utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chillum looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Noir lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Noir in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Noir throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chillum works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Noir with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Noir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chillum is keeping the position for now.

Noir is really struggling to control Chillum but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Chillum is pulling down on Noir's head. It's preventing any offense from Noir, at least for the moment.
Noir tries to free his leg and advance position but Chillum is retaining full guard.
Chillum is trying to keep Noir in close.
Chillum can't keep his opponent in guard - Noir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Chillum is staying active underneath Noir, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Noir moves nicely into side control.

Noir has an Americana. Chillum didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Noir is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Noir hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
