Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alastair Gridlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Whitehope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gridlock kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Robbie Williams - Come Undone. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitehope shoots in but Gridlock avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gridlock throws out a leg kick but Whitehope moves out of range and Gridlock only half commits.
Whitehope shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gridlock sprawls well. Gridlock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Whitehope gets slowly back to his feet.

Whitehope is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Gridlock still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Gridlock has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
