PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lowell Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Celestio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Celestio has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jamal Celestio will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamb fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lamb could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Celestio fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lamb avoids it really well and circles away.

Celestio shoots in and drives through. Lamb sprawls well.
Lamb is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Celestio.

Lamb bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Celestio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lamb tries to avoid it but Celestio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lamb to the ground. Lamb escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lamb throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Celestio dives in and grabs Lamb's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lamb pushes down on Celestio's head and hops out.
Lamb went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jamal Celestio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lowell Lamb is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
