The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover missing with a left hand there. Grupe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Nice combo by Grupe! Oh, that's hurt him - Dover falls to the canvas and Grupe follows him into side control.

Grupe avoids the strikes from the bottom by Dover.

Grupe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dover has escaped the position, nice work there.

Dover shoots in and gets a takedown into Grupe's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dover bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Grupe throws a big counter combination but Dover scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dover throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grupe's waist but Grupe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dover off to one side.
Grupe was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Dover. Grupe shrugs it off though.

With the fighters up against the cage, Grupe throws an elbow but misses.

Dover throws a good cross that connects.
