Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chester Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalton Pease (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chester Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dalton Pease!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pease avoids it really well and circles away.
Pease swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tate wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Pease shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pease showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tate has his hands clasped together around Pease's back. He's all about the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pease is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tate defends it well.

Pease thows a huge punch but Tate dodges it nicely.
Tate desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Pease passes to side control.

Pease wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tate, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pease wants to control but Tate is keeping him busy.
Tate is letting Pease control him for a moment.
Pease sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Tate is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Pease is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tate knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Tate could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tate is not content to let Pease control the position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pease throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Pease shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pease was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Pease laying and praying for a moment but Tate takes advantage and regains half guard.
Pease perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Pease is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tate doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pease.
Pease stops Tate from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


The crowd cheers as Tate lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pease doesn't seem phased though.

Pease shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tate is trying to defend but Pease finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Pease wants to pass to mount but Tate is defending the position.

Pease winds up and cracks Tate with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pease throwing shots but Tate is blocking nicely.

Tate is defending against the submission attempts here by Pease.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tate tries to kick Pease off but Pease keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pease thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tate's head.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pease connects with a high kick.
Pease misses with a series of wild punches.

Pease moves into range and clinches up with Tate.
Tate is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Pease gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tate regains guard.
Tate wants to stand but Pease is controlling the position.
Pease loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Pease trying to control the position from guard on top but Tate is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tate wants to sweep here but Pease controlling him for the moment.

Pease gets to his feet - Tate follows without any prompting.
Tate takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Pease feints and as Tate raises his hands in defense, Pease changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pease missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Pease trying to control the position from guard on top but Tate is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pease trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Tate controls Pease momentarily but Pease frees himself.

Dalton Pease showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Pease looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pease wants to control but Tate is keeping him busy.
Pease is taking a breather. Tate says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pease lands a nice short elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tate trying to control from the bottom.
Tate slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Tate keeping moving, preventing Pease from controlling successfully.

Pease wants to pass the guard but Tate is keeping the position.
Tate is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Pease swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pease looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tate throws a shot from downtown. Pease moves away and avoids it.
Pease has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pease closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pease lands in his opponent's guard.

Pease tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Dalton Pease comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pease has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
