Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Rugowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ghoul Ghotha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghotha shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ghotha was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rugowski wants to control but Ghotha postures up.
Rugowski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ghotha wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ghotha looks up at the clock and then as Rugowski takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ghotha smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
We've been hearing good reports from Rugowski's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Ghotha sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rugowski is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ghotha in particular looking to stall.

Ghotha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rugowski is fending him off so far but Ghotha persists. Nope, Rugowski circles away and we're back to standing.

A nice side step and Ghotha releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

And Ghotha tries to counter it with a takedown but Rugowski pushes his down on his head and steps out.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ghotha tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rugowski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ghotha somewhat.

Rugowski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bubba Rugowski will probably get the nod.
