Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sombat Banchamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Killer Kanji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sombat Banchamek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Killer Kanji!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banchamek misses with an uppercut.
Banchamek falls off balance throwing a combination

and Banchamek is countered with a crisp right hand from Kanji that sends him to the canvas! Kanji follows him to the mat into side control.


Banchamek is rocked!
Banchamek is looking for a sweep.
Kanji wants to control for a moment but Banchamek uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Banchamek has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kanji is working away from the top position though.
Kanji is looking to advance position but Banchamek won't allow it.

Kanji content to control rather than advance.
Banchamek keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Banchamek fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kanji.
Kanji moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Banchamek misses with a looping right.
Kanji takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Banchamek cracks Kanji with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kanji avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The fighters circling - Banchamek throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Banchamek catches Kanji with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Kanji counters with a straight right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kanji looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kanji steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Banchamek.
Kanji uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Banchamek.
Kanji throws a fast counter high kick but Banchamek manages to duck under it in time.

Oh Banchamek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kanji misses with a body shot.
Kanji tries to close the distance and clinch but Banchamek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Banchamek just misses with a punch to the body.
It seemed like Kanji was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Banchamek seems to have got his legs back now.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Banchamek.
Kanji takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kanji misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kanji takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Banchamek tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kanji was well out of range. Poor timing from Banchamek.

Kanji lands a nice shot that snaps Banchamek's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kanji misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Banchamek tried to counter with a leg kick but Kanji avoided it.
A lazy left from Banchamek finds it's target.
Kanji throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Banchamek pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kanji is out of range and Banchamek settles back down.
Kanji throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Banchamek was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kanji takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Banchamek throws out a leg kick but Kanji moves out of range and Banchamek only half commits.
Banchamek takes a swing at Kanji's ribcage but misses.
Kanji lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kanji walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Killer Kanji will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kanji takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Killer Kanji is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Banchamek pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kanji is out of range and Banchamek settles back down.

Kanji drops his hands momentarily and Banchamek takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd cheers as Banchamek lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kanji doesn't seem phased though.

Sombat Banchamek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banchamek fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kanji looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Banchamek throws a leg kick which misses Kanji's front leg but catches the back leg as Kanji tries to avoid it.
Kanji is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Banchamek tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kanji is able to avoid easily.

Kanji is rocked!
Kanji fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kanji is still on wobbly legs! Can Banchamek finish him?
Banchamek is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kanji can do to turn this around?
Kanji gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Banchamek gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sombat Banchamek!
