Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Zharkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Paine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zharkov avoids a kick to the body.
Paine throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Zharkov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Zharkov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Zharkov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Paine has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at RCT-Elite($750). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Zharkov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Paine for as long as he can get away with.
Paine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zharkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zharkov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zharkov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Zharkov has knee on belly and moves into mount.
