Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kirigaya Kazuto!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sedfenor fails to land with a series of punches.
Sedfenor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kazuto was covering up waiting for the punch and Sedfenor finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kazuto can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kazuto pulls Sedfenor in close to his closed guard and prevents Sedfenor from doing any damage or advancing position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kazuto is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kazuto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sedfenor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kazuto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sedfenor to the mat! Sedfenor manages to get full guard.

Sedfenor is looking for a triangle but Kazuto pushes his legs off easily.

Kazuto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sedfenor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kazuto has managed to get both his arms back between Sedfenor's legs - danger averted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sedfenor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kazuto defends well.

Kazuto parries the strikes from Sedfenor easily there. Sedfenor is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kazuto to escape.
Sedfenor wants to control but Kazuto is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sedfenor drops Kazuto with a right and a left! Sedfenor comes rushing in but Kazuto regains his composure and manages to keep Sedfenor in guard.
It looks like Kirigaya Kazuto has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sedfenor is fighting to break Kazuto's control of his arms but Kazuto is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Sedfenor controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kazuto is trying to keep Sedfenor in close.
Kazuto keeping moving, preventing Sedfenor from controlling successfully.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kazuto holds on and takes a little breather.
Kazuto has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sedfenor has passed into side control.

Sedfenor decides to stand back up.
Sedfenor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kazuto only half commits to the counter leg kick.
No joy there for Sedfenor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kazuto is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Sedfenor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kazuto can do to turn this around?
Kazuto gets a takedown into half guard.
Kazuto is looking for a kimura but Sedfenor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kazuto to get the leverage.
Kazuto seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Sedfenor has recovered full guard.
Kazuto looking to sit in guard and control but Sedfenor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sedfenor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kazuto's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jamille Sedfenor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sedfenor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kazuto defends it well.

Kazuto strikes from the bottom but Sedfenor uses the opportunity to move to side control.

Kazuto is looking for a sweep.
Kazuto wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Sedfenor has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Kazuto's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Kazuto is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Sedfenor!
