Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Hammet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes to the cage accompanied by Craig David - Rise and Fall. Hammet has chosen Finger Eleven - Slow Chemical as his entrance music. Craig David could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gordon Hammet's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammet throws a head kick that misses.
Hammet thuds his right hand into David's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Craig David has been cut.
Hammet tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but David defends well and Hammet ends up having to push David into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
David attempts a counter takedown but Hammet avoids it well and moves away.
David misses with a jab, cross combination.
No joy there for David, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hammet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
David blocks a head kick by Hammet.
David feinted with a counter takedown.
Hammet scores with a jab to the jaw.
Hammet feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Davids jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hammet fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gordon Hammet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and David counters with a nice uppercut.
Craig David has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Hammet.
David looks for the body kick but Hammet saw that one coming.

Hammet manages to get an easy takedown there - catching David on his heels. He'll look to pass David's guard now, I'm sure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammet is working David over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Jeez, Craig David's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Craig David's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
