PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norman Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norman Parke and Logan Sackett. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Parke!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Logan Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett misses with a low kick.
Parke avoids a kick to the body.
Parke bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sackett's head backwards.
That kick from Sackett tenderised Parke's leg. Parke is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sackett fails in his attempt to clinch.
Parke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Sackett looks for the body kick but Parke saw that one coming.
Sackett sizes up Parke with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Parke misses with a few strikes there.
Sackett's coach down at Broken Halo Vegas was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sackett's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The crowd cheers as Parke lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sackett doesn't seem phased though.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sackett lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Parke has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Parke and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Parke tries to score a body lock takedown but Sackett shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Norman Parke will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sackett takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

We've been hearing good reports from Parke's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
