Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Irving Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herbert Heeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herbert Heeta has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Irving Knight's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Irving Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Herbert Heeta!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heeta doesn't manage to clinch there - Knight circles away.
Herbert Heeta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Heeta seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Heeta seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Heeta is pressing down on Knight's thigh, looking to free his foot. Knight is holding on for now.
Heeta stops Knight from getting back to his feet.
It looks like Heeta is going to stand back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Let's hope that Heeta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Knight is bucking up trying to escape but Heeta cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Knight seems to have got his legs back now.
Knight is squirming around, avoiding Heeta's attempts to control the action.

Knight wants to hold on but Heeta pushes him away.

Herbert Heeta showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Heeta has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Knight uses from the top position.

Heeta pulls Knight in close to his closed guard and prevents Knight from doing any damage or advancing position.
Knight will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Knight won't allow Heeta to get back to his feet.

Knight stands and steps away. Heeta gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Heeta goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Heeta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Knight gets to his feet. Heeta looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Heeta takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Heeta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Heeta tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Heeta clinches up against the cage.

Heeta pulls Knight into guard.
Heeta looking for a sweep. Not yet Heeta, not yet.
Heeta is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Knight gets to his feet - Heeta follows without any prompting.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Knight showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Heeta.
Irving Knight has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Herbert Heeta is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Heeta closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Knight to the mat! Knight manages to get full guard.

Herbert Heeta comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Heeta has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
