Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Kawada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steffan Stove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stove is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fire. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Keiji Kawada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steffan Stove!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawada shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kawada on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Stove uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kawada has time to react.
No luck for Kawada with that takedown attempt.
Kawada walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kawada tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stove sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kawada somewhat.
We've been told by Kawada's head coaches at Javi´ Corner that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keiji Kawada. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stove's coach down at The Exiled Elite was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stove's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

and Stove counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kawada is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kawada takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Steffan Stove is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Stove counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A solid leg kick lands there for Stove.

Kawada tries to land knees in the clinch but Stove avoids the damage to the body.

Kawada drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Stove throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kawada throws a leg kick but Stove sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kawada on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kawada dives in for a single leg takedown but Stove sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Stove throws a body punch but Kawada moves out of range.
Kawada seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Stove tries a head kick but it misses.

Kawada is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stove feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kawada's calf.
Kawada shoots for a takedown but Stove saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stove avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stove digs a good body shot into Kawada's ribs.
Stove throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kawada darts in looking for a takedown but Stove gets double underhooks and turns Kawada into the cage.

It looked like Kawada was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Stove cracks Kawada with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kawada walks into a straight right hand from Stove.
Kawada takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Kawada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stove swivels and escapes.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Stove.
Stove has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stove lands a big uppercut and Kawada crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kawada looks OK. Stove waves Kawada back to his feet!
Oh Kawada is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stove throws a front kick that sends Kawada stumbling back into the cage.
Kawada seems to have got his legs back now.

Stove lands a glancing blow to the side of Kawada's head.

Stove's corner calls for a 1-2. Stove obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Kawada tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stove paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A decent looking cross lands there for Stove.
Stove comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stove lands a big head kick that sends Kawada tumbling to the mat! Stove takes a step backwards and waves Kawada back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Kawada takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Stove throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Kawada crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Steffan Stove was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
