Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Kantola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kantola has chosen Teräskehä as his entrance music. Jim Beam has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 19 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ari Kantola!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beam throws a body punch but Kantola moves out of range.
Kantola uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beam.

Beam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Beam half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Beam really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Beam crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kantola - the referee stops the clock and Beam gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kantola. Beam manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've been told by Beam's head coaches at Bad Pluto! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Kantola fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Beam has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Beam keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
An inside leg kick lands from Kantola.
Kantola misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kantola slips a straight right by Beam.
Kantola tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beam paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kantola darts in looking for a takedown but Beam gets double underhooks and turns Kantola into the cage.

Jim Beam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ari Kantola.
Kantola throws a right hand that Beam ducks under and follows up with a left that Beam also avoids with ease.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Beam throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kantola sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kantola throws a head kick that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ari Kantola dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Beam creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kantola sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Kantola is trying to control Beam's posture but Beam avoids it.
Beam scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Kantola is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Beam can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Beam!
Jim Beam decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
