PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Saul Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom DeLuise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvarez comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - 'Burning Heart'. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from DeLuise misses.
DeLuise throws a lazy uppercut
and Alvarez counters with a nice uppercut.
DeLuise on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
DeLuise finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A swing and a miss from DeLuise.
A solid leg kick lands there for DeLuise.
DeLuise throws a low kick but it's checked well by Alvarez.
Alvarez throws a right hand that DeLuise ducks under and follows up with a left that DeLuise also avoids with ease.
DeLuise takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DeLuise throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

DeLuise lands a left and a right that send Alvarez crashing to the mat, dazed. DeLuise thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Alvarez is rocked!

Alvarez digs a good hook to DeLuise's body.
Oh Alvarez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
DeLuise cracks Alvarez with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Alvarez falls to his knees and DeLuise doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
