Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Logan Dunlap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phuc Nuey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Logan Dunlap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Phuc Nuey!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunlap manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nuey on his heels. He'll look to pass Nuey's guard now, I'm sure.
Nuey looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Dunlap puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Dunlap lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dunlap is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Nuey flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nuey trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunlap prevents Nuey from improving his position.
Nuey tries to kick Dunlap off but Dunlap keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dunlap has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dunlap is nestled in close to Nuey, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nice strikes from Dunlap there.
Dunlap slips a nice elbow through Nuey's hands, connecting with Nuey's forehead.
Nuey is not content to let Dunlap control the position.
Dunlap prevents Nuey from standing back up.
Dunlap passes into side control, despite Nuey's attempt to control the position.

Dunlap tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dunlap has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nuey is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Nuey is not content to let Dunlap control the position.
Dunlap is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nuey is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Nuey gets the takedown into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dunlap is looking for a sweep.
Nuey tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Dunlap is pushing Nuey's head away, looking to escape. Nuey manages to hold on to the position though.
Dunlap is looking to reverse the position.
Dunlap manages to get back to half guard.
Dunlap regains full guard. Nicely done.
Nuey throwing strikes but missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dunlap working for submissions but it's allowed Nuey to get to half guard.
Nuey tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Nuey misses with a head shot. Dunlap uses the momentum to regain guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dunlap throws his legs up looking for a submission but Nuey uses it to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Logan Dunlap dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Nuey gets a double leg takedown into Dunlap's guard.
Nuey won't allow Dunlap to sweep him here.
Nuey trying to control the position from guard on top but Dunlap is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nuey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Dunlap is looking to cinch up a triangle. Nuey throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dunlap's body to avoid the submission. Dunlap has instead reached around Nuey's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dunlap arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Logan Dunlap!
