The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talbert displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kontos throws out the jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Talbert! But no joy.
Kontos throws a body punch but Talbert moves out of range.
Talbert dodges the punch combination from Kontos.
Kontos scores with a sloppy right hand. Talbert should have avoided that one.
Talbert ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kontos moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Kontos looks to land a right hand but Talbert moved out of range.
Talbert throws a counter combo.
Talbert feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kontoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Kontos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Talbert is controlling him.

Kontos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Talbert controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Talbert postures up in Kontos's guard and throws a big left but Kontos blocks it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Talbert shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kontos's guard.
Kontos is pulling down on Talbert's head. It's preventing any offense from Talbert, at least for the moment.

Kontos wants to stand up but Talbert is controlling him.

Talbert might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kontos haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Talbert maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kontos could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Talbert has cracked it and Kontos is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Talbert!
