Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnson Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartman has chosen Just A Lil Bit as his entrance music. Johnson Cartman acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raymond Rios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnson Cartman!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rios gets caught napping as Cartman dives in and scores a takedown. Rios manages to retain guard.
Cartman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Cartman trying to control the position from guard on top but Rios is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cartman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Rios has control of Cartman's left arm, preventing Cartman from doing any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cartman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cartman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cartman trying to control the position from guard on top but Rios is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rios lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Rios not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cartman wants to pass the guard but Rios is keeping the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cartman is pushing down on Rios's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rios is fighting to maintain full guard but Cartman has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cartman wants to advance to full mount but Rios doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Cartman wants to control from the top but Rios keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Johnson Cartman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cartman moves into the clinch successfully.

Rios goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Cartman has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rios is trying to keep an underhook but Cartman manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Rios has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cartman is working away from the top position though.

Rios is squirming around, avoiding Cartman's attempts to control the action.

Rios could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Cartman. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Cartman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rios's guard.

Cartman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Cartman is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Johnson Cartman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Rios has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rios will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cartman has his feet on Rios's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Cartman postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Rios to stand up.

Rios closes the distance and clinches.
Rios goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Cartman pulls guard effortlessly.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cartman is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson Cartman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Cartman prevents Rios from getting back to his feet.

Cartman has gone for a leg lock! Rios slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cartman's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cartman controls Rios momentarily but Rios frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Raymond Rios has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Cartman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cartman lands in his opponent's guard.

Johnson Cartman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
