Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randall Wickam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Metsola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randall Wickam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesus Metsola!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metsola shoots in for a takedown but Wickam shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wickam attempts a counter takedown but Metsola avoids it well and moves away.

Metsola gets caught flat footed, as Wickam shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Metsola pulls Wickam in close to prevent any damage.
Wickam is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wickam postures up and lands a big shot to Metsola's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wickam is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Metsola not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Metsola had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wickam defends it easily.
Wickam postures up in Metsola's guard and throws a big left but Metsola blocks it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Wickam has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Metsola has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wickam finds it's way round the side to connect with Metsola's head.
Wickam throws an overhand right that lands on Metsola's shoulder, as Metsola tries to avoid the shot.
Metsola takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Jesus Metsola has been cut.

Metsola doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Wickam is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Wickam is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Wickam postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Metsola is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wickam, into his guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wickam pulls Metsola in close to his closed guard and prevents Metsola from doing any damage or advancing position.

Wickam is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wickam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wickam manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Metsola manages to get himself to full guard.

Metsola has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Wickam! Metsola is backing up but he can't get away as Wickam lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Metsola and ends the fight. Great knockout.
