Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocky Balboa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rocky Balboa!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter A connects with a jab.
Fighter B chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fighter A can pounce on him.
Fighter A changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fighter A scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Fighter A. That's going to slow Fighter B down.
Fighter B waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fighter A.
Fighter A forces Fighter B back against the cage and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Fighter B's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Fighter A working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Fighter B wants a takedown.
Fighter B's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fighter B wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Fighter A lands with a short punch from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter B wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fighter A has him pressed against the cage.
Fighter A will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Fighter B up against the cage.
Fighter A prevents Fighter B from breaking the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Fighter A.
Nice body punch from Fighter A - that landed with a thud.
Fighter B can't break the clinch.
A body shot lands from Fighter A.
Fighter B looks winded!
Fighter A lands with a right to the head.
Fighter B looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Fighter A escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fighter A throws a shot to the body.
Fighter A and Fighter B are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Fighter A throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Fighter B into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Fighter A knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Rocky Balboa!
Rocky Balboa got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
