The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuni throws a right and a left that Turpa avoids nicely.
Turpa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Turpa tries to close the distance and clinch but Kuni swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kuni lands with a nice combination. Turpa backs away looking to recover.
Turpa avoids the head kick by Kuni.
Turpa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Turpa lands a big head kick that sends Kuni tumbling to the mat! Turpa takes a step backwards and waves Kuni back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kuni is rocked!

It looks like Robert Kuni has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kuni walks forward, straight into a front kick from Turpa.
Oh Kuni is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kuni is breathing heavily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Turpa.
Turpa looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Turpa backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Kuni's temple! It sends Kuni violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Turpa celebrates and the doctors try to help Kuni!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Kalja Turpa!
