Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby TupperII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by DIE LIKE A ROCKSTAR. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 21 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bobby TupperII!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown. TupperII tries to sprawl out of it but Brown keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. TupperII manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

TupperII drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
TupperII trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom.
TupperII must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Brown is trying to control the position from the bottom.
TupperII throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
TupperII tries to free his leg and advance position but Brown is retaining full guard.
TupperII wants to stand but Brown has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

TupperII thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

TupperII postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
TupperII trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy.
TupperII tries to free his leg and advance position but Brown is retaining full guard.
Brown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

TupperII postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of TupperII, into his guard.


Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and TupperII has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between TupperII's legs - danger averted.

It looks like Bobby TupperII has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. TupperII tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag TupperII to the ground. TupperII escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
TupperII throws a leg kick but Brown sees it coming and moves out of range.

TupperII shoots in and drives through. Brown sprawls well.
TupperII moves out of range as Brown throws a body kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from TupperII is defended easily by Brown.
Brown looks to land a combination but TupperII avoids it well.
TupperII looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Brown dives in and scores a takedown into TupperII's guard.

Brown is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Brown connects with a couple of short punches.
TupperII has momentary wrist control but Brown slips an elbow through the middle.
Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but TupperII is retaining full guard.

TupperII working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brown doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brown manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


TupperII shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense.
TupperII tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brown manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
TupperII misses with a low kick as Brown jumps back.

Brown throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. TupperII tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brown is in TupperII's guard.
Brown is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Brown stands and steps away. TupperII gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Brown stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from TupperII.
TupperII fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.

TupperII tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brown sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten TupperII somewhat.

Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but TupperII moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
TupperII slaps away a takedown attempt from Brown, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bobby TupperII seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brown shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brown was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Brown is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. TupperII knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Check out the look on Brown's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Brown cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Brown cracks TupperII with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Brown has his foot on TupperII's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. TupperII works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Brown has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
