PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns has chosen Die by the drop as his entrance music. William Burns told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns tried to score with a low kick but Tyson checks it.

It looks like William Burns has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Tyson has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Tyson cracks Burns with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Tyson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Burns to stand back up!

Burns is rocked!
Burns lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Tyson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Burns sprawling to the canvas! Burns rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tyson finish him?!

Tyson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Burns is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tyson rather than just go for the knockout.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Burns might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Tyson has got the better of the exchanges.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Tyson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
