Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gus Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arapeta Ma Aka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ma Aka looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Ma Aka trying to control the position from guard on top but Potts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ma Aka postures up.
Potts keeping moving, preventing Ma Aka from controlling successfully.
Ma Aka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ma Aka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ma Aka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ma Aka's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potts has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ma Aka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ma Aka passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Ma Aka moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Potts can't do much from the bottom here.
Ma Aka works to advance to full mount. Potts defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Potts prevents Ma Aka from taking his back.
Potts keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Ma Aka swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
