Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clay Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baron Suzaski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baron Suzaski is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clay Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Baron Suzaski!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore gets a takedown into half guard.
Moore throwing shots but Suzaski is blocking nicely.
Moore is looking to stall here but Suzaski recovers full guard.
Moore throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Suzaski works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Suzaski is looking to stand up but Moore isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore postures up in Suzaski's guard and throws a big left but Suzaski blocks it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Suzaski tries to stand and escape but Moore is controlling the position.
Moore is looking for a sweep. Suzaski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
It looks like Suzaski is going to stand back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Suzaski tests Moore's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Moore dives in and scores a takedown into Suzaski's guard.
Moore throws a big right hand that misses.
Moore is looking to work some ground and pound but Suzaski has wrist control.

Moore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Suzaski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Moore throws an elbow that misses. Suzaski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Moore's guard. Nice move by Suzaski!

Moore wants to sweep but no luck.

Moore is looking for a triangle but Suzaski pushes his legs off easily.
Suzaski wanted to stand there but Moore had control of the position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Suzaski is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Moore closes the distance and clinches up with Suzaski, looking for a takedown. Moore pushes Suzaski against the cage but Suzaski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Suzaski throws a body shot but no joy.
Nice defenses there by Moore.
Suzaski sizes up Moore with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Baron Suzaski will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A looping hook to the body misses from Moore. Suzaski does a little dance to reset his feet.

Moore tries to bench press Suzaski off him but Suzaski keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Suzaski enables Moore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Suzaski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Moore throws a strike but Suzaski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Moore fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Suzaski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Moore uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Suzaski.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Moore shoots in looking for a takedown but Suzaski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Moore's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clay Moore. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Suzaski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Moore.
Suzaski tries to counter with a clinch but Moore shakes him off and moves away.
Suzaski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moore moves away.
Moore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Suzaski's waist but Suzaski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moore off to one side.

Suzaski cracks Moore with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Suzaski has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Moore to stand back up!

Oh Moore is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Moore tries to get into range but Suzaski steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Moore! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Suzaski scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Baron Suzaski!
