The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabonis scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Sabonis moves out of range as Williams strikes.
Sabonis lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Williams goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sabonis seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Sabonis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Williams pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Williams wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Williams finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
As Williams tries to get set, Sabonis tries to push him back and clinch up but Williams manages to avoid the attempt.
Williams cracks the inside of Sabonis's front leg.
Sabonis throws out a leg kick but Williams moves out of range and Sabonis only half commits.
Williams moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Sabonis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Williams attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

and Sabonis counters with a nice body shot.
Williams looks to score with a jab to the body but Sabonis is just out of range.
Williams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sabonis.
Sabonis feints and then cracks Williams's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Williams down.

Williams fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sabonis manages to avoid it.
Sabonis was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Sabonis tries a head kick but it misses.
Williams getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Williams takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

That was a close round but I would say that Arvydas Sabonis will probably get the nod.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Sabonis throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Williams is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
