The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maanpohja tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kantola sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maanpohja somewhat.

Kantola shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Maanpohja manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Maanpohja looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kantola is one step ahead there.
Maanpohja is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kantola avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maanpohja is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Maanpohja seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Kantola stays in close to Maanpohja's body and controls the position.

Maanpohja has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kantola is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maanpohja.

Kantola is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Maanpohja with him. Maanpohja is trying to defend but Kantola has an arm under the chin now! Maanpohja grimaces and is forced to tap out!
