Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miquel Mcintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Jenkins Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miquel Mcintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Jenkins Jr!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcintosh looks for a takedown but Jenkins Jr sprawls well.

Jenkins Jr pushes Mcintosh up against the cage in a clinch.

Jenkins Jr lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Jenkins Jr not doing much here.
Mcintosh is not content to let Jenkins Jr control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jenkins Jr is looking for a kimura but Mcintosh is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jenkins Jr to get the leverage.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jenkins Jr in particular looking to stall.

Mcintosh wants to get back to his feet.
Jenkins Jr wants to take a breather but Mcintosh is having none of it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jenkins Jr wants to pass to mount but Mcintosh is defending the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jenkins Jr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mcintosh on his heels. He'll look to pass Mcintosh's guard now, I'm sure.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jenkins Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jenkins Jr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jenkins Jr's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Jenkins Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mcintosh being controlled here, momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcintosh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Jenkins Jr looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Jenkins Jr advances position into side control!
Jenkins Jr throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Mcintosh parries the strikes from Jenkins Jr easily there. Jenkins Jr is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mcintosh to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins Jr throws a strike aimed at the side of Mcintosh's head but Mcintosh avoids it well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Jenkins Jr stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jenkins Jr gets a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Jenkins Jr dominated that round.
That's time! Mcintosh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


The fight stays on the outside here - Mcintosh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jenkins Jr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcintosh's guard.
Jenkins Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jenkins Jr is stalling in the full guard.

Jenkins Jr stands up from guard. Let's bang!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mcintosh enables Jenkins Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mcintosh manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jenkins Jr pushing down on Mcintosh's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Jenkins Jr throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Jenkins Jr is trying to control the action in half guard but Mcintosh is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Well, if Jenkins Jr is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jenkins Jr is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mcintosh sees it coming and defends easily.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jenkins Jr is stalling here. Mcintosh is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jenkins Jr seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mcintosh has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Mcintosh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jenkins Jr is trying to get back to half guard.

Jenkins Jr is trying to control Mcintosh's posture but Mcintosh avoids it.
Jenkins Jr tries to buck Mcintosh off but Mcintosh is having none of it.
You can see the frustration on Jenkins Jr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jenkins Jr sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mcintosh thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jenkins Jr's head.
Jenkins Jr is looking for a sweep. Mcintosh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jenkins Jr wants to get back to full guard but Mcintosh has mounted him!
Mcintosh wants to control the pace but Jenkins Jr is squirming around nicely.
Jenkins Jr wants to hold on but Mcintosh pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcintosh lands a nice shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Jenkins Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Nice uppercut there from Mcintosh.
Jenkins Jr tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Jenkins Jr closes the distance and pushes Mcintosh back into the cage.
Jenkins Jr looking to throw knees to the head but Mcintosh is blocking nicely.

Jenkins Jr pulls guard successfully.
Jenkins Jr trying to keep a closed guard but Mcintosh is proving a slippery customer.
Mcintosh postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Mcintosh wants to get up but he can't break Jenkins Jr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jenkins Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jenkins Jr is looking for submissions but instead, Mcintosh has regained full guard.
Mcintosh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
David Jenkins Jr has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jenkins Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcintosh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mcintosh wants to stand up but Jenkins Jr is controlling him.
Jenkins Jr slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jenkins Jr drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mcintosh dives on top into guard.

Mcintosh postures up.
Mcintosh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Mcintosh is looking to work some ground and pound but Jenkins Jr has wrist control.
Mcintosh has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jenkins Jr wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mcintosh manages to pass to side control.
Mcintosh thows a huge punch but Jenkins Jr dodges it nicely.
Jenkins Jr tries to roll over but Mcintosh keeps him under control.
Mcintosh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jenkins Jr is trying to control but can't.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Miquel Mcintosh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mcintosh shoots in for a takedown but Jenkins Jr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jenkins Jr closes the distance and clinches.

Jenkins Jr is trying to trip Mcintosh. He has hold of a leg but Mcintosh is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jenkins Jr persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Mcintosh wants to control but Jenkins Jr passes easily into half guard.
Jenkins Jr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcintosh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mcintosh is trying to stand up here but Jenkins Jr is controlling him well.
Miquel Mcintosh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
David Jenkins Jr is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Jenkins Jr wants to free his trapped foot but Mcintosh is holding on for dear life with his legs.

I've got Jenkins Jr winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
