Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James closes the distance and clinches up with Baba, looking for a takedown. James pushes Baba against the cage but Baba circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Baba was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Baba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As Baba backs off James throws a huge counter combo but Baba manages to avoid it all.
James shoots in for a takedown but Baba shows good takedown defense.
James connects with the punch.
James doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Baba counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Sinbad Baba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David James.
James looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
James fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Baba lands a jab to James's midsection.
Baba chopping away at his opponent's legs.
James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Baba throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Baba's corner calls for a 1-2. Baba obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
James misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
James walks into a left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Baba tries to land a front kick but James steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Baba counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks James badly! He tries to strike back but Baba puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks James out cold! Oh man, James will never hear the end of this one!
