Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vajas Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tomas's choice of entrance music: Wasted Years. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomas throws a leg kick but Phoenix moved away.
Phoenix will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Phoenix misses with a hook.

Tomas tries to close the distance and clinch but Phoenix swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tomas scores with a nice right hand.
Tomas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tomas has closed the distance and engaged Phoenix in a clinch.

It looks like Simon Phoenix has been cut.
Tomas works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Tomas unleashes a big counter combination but Phoenix bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Tomas throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Simon Phoenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tomas throws a lazy right hand but Phoenix sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tomas connects with a body shot that sends Phoenix 's belly button to the back.
Phoenix misses the jab.
Tomas lands a jab to the nose.
Phoenix throws a head kick that misses.
Tomas is looking to clinch.
Tomas with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tomas throws a chopping leg kick but Phoenix manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Tomas cracks Phoenix with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Phoenix looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Tomas finish him?
Phoenix is rocked!
Both fighters circling a little - Tomas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Oh Phoenix is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Phoenix is breathing heavily.
Tomas lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Phoenix seems to have got his legs back now.
Tomas throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
A jab lands there for Tomas.
Tomas jabs Phoenix right on the nose. Phoenix blinks but takes it well.
Are you kidding me?! Tomas ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Phoenix clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
