The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Batyr throws a series of punches but Wagner avoids them all with ease.
We've been hearing reports that Batyr has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Batyr looks for the body kick but Wagner saw that one coming.
Batyr doesn't manage to clinch there - Wagner circles away.
Wagner lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Batyr lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wagner's sensitive parts.
Wagner throws the kick towards the body but Batyr avoids it.
Batyr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for Wagner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wagner lands with a kick to the temple. Batyr shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Batyr smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Batyr fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Wagner darts in looking for a takedown but Batyr gets double underhooks and turns Wagner into the cage.
Batyr misses with a few strikes there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wagner loses concentration momentarily and Batyr pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Wagner crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Batyr finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
