Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Hail To The King. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rouch's choice of entrance music: Can I. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ash Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chase Rouch!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rouch turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rouch tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance.
Rouch uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Williams.
Williams throws a right and a left that Rouch avoids nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Rouch, which made it look bad.
Rouch has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rouch drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Williams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rouch.
Rouch lands a front kick.
Rouch on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rouch throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Williams has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rouch.
Williams throws a body punch but Rouch moves out of range.
Williams jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Williams avoids the head kick by Rouch.
Williams changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams misses with a body shot.
Rouch tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rouch has managed to clinch.
Williams has picked Rouch up - he's going for a ride! Williams dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Rouch wants to control but Williams is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Williams is looking to advance position but Rouch won't allow it.
Williams trying to control the action but Rouch is working from the bottom.
Williams works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams scoring with strikes but Rouch is staying in there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rouch is rocked!
Williams looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Rouch covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
