Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruarc Lacy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Watt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watt is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Edmund Fitzgerald. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Watt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacy swings for the body but Watt moves out of range.

Lacy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lacy won't allow Watt to sweep him here.
Watt is striking but Lacy is not phased and passes to half guard.
Watt has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Watt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Watt wants to control the action here but instead Lacy manages to pass to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watt tries to hold on but Lacy postures up.
Lacy pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Watt is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Watt tries to lock up and control but Lacy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lacy prevents Watt from getting the reversal.
Lacy lands a heavy elbow.

Watt is rocked!

Lacy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Watt is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Watt and Lacy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Lacy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Watt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Watt prevents Lacy from moving into mount.
Watt gets back to half guard.

Lacy is working for a kimura but Watt is defending it quite comfortably.

Lacy wants to work for an arm triangle but Watt is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Watt wants to control but Lacy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Watt trying to get back to full guard but Lacy takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Watt is wriggling around trying to escape.

Watt tries to improve his position but Lacy has taken his back! Lacy has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Watt tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Lacy pushes Watt away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
