Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dell Optiplex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dell Optiplex will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adam Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dell Optiplex!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Optiplex throws a sloppy head kick

so Evans counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Evans postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Evans content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Evans missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Evans is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Evans lands a couple of digs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Evans is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Evans's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Evans shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Optiplex manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Evans decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Optiplex enables Evans to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Optiplex manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Evans makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Evans content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Evans trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Evans not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Evans chips away with some ground and pound.

Optiplex wants to stand up but Evans is controlling him.
Optiplex is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Optiplex is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Evans loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Optiplex really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Evans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

and Evans counters with a takedown into side control.
Evans works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Evans dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Evans is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Evans connects with a couple of short punches.
Optiplex wants to get back to his feet but Evans is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Evans is working Optiplex over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Optiplex is rocked!
Evans is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Optiplex can do to turn this around?
Evans postures up and lands a big shot to Optiplex's brow.

Evans stands up over Optiplex, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Adam Evans overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Evans drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Evans as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Optiplex screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Evans! Nice submission victory there!
