Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ladislav Hemsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sioux Sie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hemsky comes to the cage accompanied by Onward to Victory. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Sie coming out on top.
Sie swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Hemsky wants to clinch.
Sie ducks right into an uppercut from Hemsky.

Hemsky closes the distance and clinches.
I was talking to Hemsky's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Hemsky lands a knee to the body.
A head punch on the inside from Hemsky fails to land.
Sie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hemsky smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sie is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sie's coach down at TIGER MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

And Sie responds with a good body kick, but Hemsky manages to step out the way in time.

Sie is looking to take a break and control but Hemsky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sie goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hemsky rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sie's guard! Nice work there by Hemsky!

Hemsky wants to stand and escape but instead Sie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hemsky is just riding it out for now. Sie eventually gives up the hold.

Sie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hemsky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sie.
Hemsky is staying active underneath Sie, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sie is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Hemsky still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Hemsky has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Hemsky ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sie throws a shot from downtown. Hemsky moves away and avoids it.
Hemsky throws a hook but Sie blocks it.
And Sie tries to counter it with a takedown but Hemsky pushes his down on his head and steps out.
