Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Georlev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Rouge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Rouge struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Alex Rouge will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rouge misses with a head kick.

As Rouge looks to move away, Georlev throws a big counter combo bu Rouge just gets out of the way.
Rouge misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rouge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Georlev tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rouge manages to circle out of the way.
Rouge scores with a head kick.
Georlev shoots in for a double leg but Rouge sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rouge looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Rouge's coach down at Last Dragon MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rouge's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

An attempted straight right counter from Georlev misses the target.
Rouge buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rouge looks to throw a body kick

and Georlev counters with a shoot takedown. Rouge fights it but they end up in guard.

Georlev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Georlev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Georlev drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Georlev seems to have locked his on tight now - Rouge screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Georlev, as he picks up the win!
