Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Gans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Sten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nelson Gans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Sten!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Gans misses.
Sten steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Gans.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gans.

Gans decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sten has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gans is working away from the top position though.
Gans has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gans wants to pass to mount but Sten is defending the position.
Sten is trying to maintain the position but Gans is very close to passing his half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sten can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gans sets himself, and Sten steps forward looking for the clinch! Gans avoids it this time.

Sten rushes Gans and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sten obliges.
Gans is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sten landing knees to the head.


It looks like Nelson Gans has been cut.

Gans can't get the takedown.

Gans jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sten walks away with a smile on his face. Gans gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sten has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Nice takedown defense from Sten. No joy for Gans on that attempt.

Sten has managed to clinch.
Gans takes a knee to the side of the body.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sten.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gans is rocked!
Sten working the clinch nicely. Gans is working for position but Sten cracks him with a big knee to the head! Gans crumples up against the cage and Sten lands two more shots before the ref can save Gans! This one is all over!
