The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiapoity shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kiapoity showed some decent athleticism there.
Small is looking to control Kiapoity's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Small avoid being mounted?

Kiapoity seems to be working for a kimura but Small defends the submission attempt.
Small wants to get back to full guard.
Small is pressing down on Kiapoity's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kiapoity sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Small's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kiapoity is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Small trying to control but Kiapoity postures up.

Kiapoity looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Small has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Kiapoity. Oh but Small has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Kiapoity goes limp - he's gone! Small jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
