Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Tinkl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ska Asap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Billy Tinkl!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Ska Asap!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tinkl misses with a takedown attempt - Asap sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Asap.
Tinkl has his takedown stuffed

and Asap decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tinkl's guard.
Asap wants to pass the guard but Tinkl is keeping the position.
Tinkl looking to control.
Asap slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Asap is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Asap moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Tinkl.
Asap is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tinkl will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Tinkl is looking to reverse the position.

Asap remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Asap is staying tight to Tinkl's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Asap is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Tinkl has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Asap is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tinkl.
Tinkl is looking to regain half guard here but Asap keeps moving and retains side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tinkl stops Asap from passing to mount.
Tinkl tries to improve position but can't.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fight stays on the outside here - Tinkl looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Asap is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Asap closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Asap lands in his opponent's guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tinkl throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Asap's waist but Asap gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tinkl off to one side.

Asap shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Asap was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Asap is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Let's hope that Asap has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tinkl is looking for a sweep.

Tinkl is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Asap's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Ska Asap showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Tinkl's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Tinkl has Asap up against the cage in a clinch.

Tinkl jumps guard and drags Asap to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Tinkl definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Asap is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tinkl wants to sweep but no luck.

Tinkl is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Asap is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Asap performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Tinkl looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Asap pushes past his half guard into mount!

The adventures of Asap the control monster continue. Boring.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tinkl's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
