Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Man Logan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Riley Cunningham!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cunningham lands the left hand.
Cunningham fails with the takedown

and Logan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cunningham prevents Logan from breaking the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Cunningham.

Cunningham pulls guard successfully.
Cunningham looking to control.
Logan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cunningham doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Logan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Cunningham has a closed guard, preventing Logan from standing up.
Logan postures up and lands a big shot to Cunningham's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Logan wants to control from the top but Cunningham keeps moving.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cunningham stops Logan from standing up.
Cunningham is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Cunningham prevents Logan from getting back to his feet.
Cunningham slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cunningham avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A little jabbing left from Cunningham on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Cunningham closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Cunningham. Logan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Logan shoots in for a double leg but Cunningham sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Logan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cunningham is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Cunningham attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Cunningham lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cunningham wants to land a leg kick but Logan is out of range.
Logan tries to close the distance and clinch but Cunningham swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cunningham circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Logan tries to clinch up but Cunningham circles away and keeps his distance.
Logan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cunningham tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Logan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cunningham, pushing him back against the cage.
Logan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cunningham is defending well for now.
Logan prevents a body shot from Cunningham.

Cunningham has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Logan uses from the top position.

Cunningham is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Cunningham has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Logan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cunningham is trying to control the position but Logan postures up.
Logan is looking to stand up but Cunningham won't let him.
Cunningham pulls Logan in close to prevent any damage.
Cunningham avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cunningham has a closed guard, preventing Logan from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Logan clinches up against the cage.

Cunningham has Logan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cunningham pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Logan tumbling to the mat - Cunningham dives into Logan's guard.
Cunningham wants to control from the top but Logan keeps moving.
Cunningham passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Cunningham prevents Logan from standing back up.

Cunningham seems to be working for a kimura but Logan defends the submission attempt.
Logan is trying to stand back up but Cunningham is controlling him

Cunningham missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Logan pushes Cunningham off but Cunningham dives into side control.
Logan tries to escape but Cunningham is in control.
Cunningham trying to control the action but Logan is working from the bottom.
Logan wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Logan tries to buck Cunningham off but Cunningham is having none of it.
Logan is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cunningham is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Cunningham trying to control but he's not successful this time.
You get the feeling that Logan really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Cunningham lands with some strikes.
Cunningham controlling the pace for now.
Cunningham lands a couple of good shots and Logan has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Cunningham is hanging on to Logan's back as he tries to escape.
Cunningham has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Logan trying to control but not successfully.
Logan is trying to stand back up.

Logan is trying to defend against the choke here but Cunningham has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Cunningham Tightens the hold and Logan taps out furiously! Cunningham displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
