Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darwin France (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cletus Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think France might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to bring me to life. Landry comes into a darkened arena with his song building. country boy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but France manages to avoid it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from France is defended easily by Landry.
Landry gets cracked with a nice right hand there by France.
Landry scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
France looks to score with a jab to the body but Landry is just out of range.
Landry throws a body punch but France moves out of range.
Landry misses with a hook. France ducked under it nicely.
France throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Despite the aggression on Landry's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

France lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

France is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Landry defends it well.

France really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A jab from France misses.
France tries to land a front kick but Landry steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Landry swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
France chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Landry can pounce on him.
Landry stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Landry wants it to stay on the feet.
Landry fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt France.

That was a close round but I would say that Darwin France will probably get the nod.

France changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
France scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

France throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Landry on the side of the head.
