Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Bomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasiliy Sobolev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bomb comes to the cage accompanied by Casino Royale Soundtrack - You Know My Name. Sobolev has chosen Ya kuplu tebe dom as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 75 - 29 - 7, fighting out of Helsinki, James Bomb!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 39 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vasiliy Sobolev!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sobolev is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bomb's half guard.
Bomb makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bomb.
Sobolev postures up in Bomb's guard and throws a big left but Bomb blocks it.
Sobolev trying to control but Bomb is working from the bottom.
Sobolev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bomb wants to sweep but no luck.
Sobolev makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sobolev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bomb has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sobolev has managed to get both his arms back between Bomb's legs - danger averted.

Bomb has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sobolev is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

It looks like Vasiliy Sobolev has been cut.

Sobolev shoots in but Bomb avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bomb throws a leg kick which misses Sobolev's front leg but catches the back leg as Sobolev tries to avoid it.
Bomb wants to land a leg kick but Sobolev is out of range.
Vasiliy Sobolev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bomb missing with a left hand there. Sobolev was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Sobolev shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bomb napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bomb manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bomb is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at KO Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sobolev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bomb tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sobolev swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A nice leg kick lands there from Bomb.
Sobolev lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sobolev arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Bomb's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Vasiliy Sobolev!

In his post fight interview, Vasiliy Sobolev started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
