Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sara McSlamm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zbermat Serlal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McSlamm comes to the cage accompanied by 138 and 133 Disturbed - Indestructible. Serlal has chosen Mortal Kombat as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sara McSlamm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zbermat Serlal!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serlal avoids the body shot from McSlamm.
McSlamm misses with a body shot.
McSlamm slips a straight right by Serlal.
McSlamm tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Serlal was well out of range. Poor timing from McSlamm.
Serlal scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McSlamm doesn't seem bothered though.

Serlal closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Serlal not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Serlal trying to advance position but McSlamm counters by regaining guard.
McSlamm keeping full guard, as Serlal tries to pass.
Serlal has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Serlal has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Team Finland. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Serlal takes one on the button.
Serlal lands an overhand right.
McSlamm throws a hook to the side of Serlal's head but Serlal sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McSlamm just misses with a punch to the body.
Serlal throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McSlamm on the side of the head.

and McSlamm counters with a straight right hand.
McSlamm is looking to wear down Serlal with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
McSlamm connects with the punch.
McSlamm on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Serlal is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McSlamm's half guard.

Serlal lands a couple of good shots and McSlamm has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Serlal feints and as McSlamm raises his hands in defense, Serlal changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

McSlamm is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Serlal is refusing to be controlled, as McSlamm sits in half guard.

McSlamm is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
McSlamm tries to pass to full mount but Serlal defends it.

McSlamm sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Serlal's guard.
Serlal moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
McSlamm wants to pass the guard but Serlal is keeping the position.

Zbermat Serlal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Serlal is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Serlal might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

McSlamm is landing with some decent strikes but Serlal is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

In his post fight interview, Sara McSlamm started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
