Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Deadflame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Derrick Deadflame!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 23 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Nevsky!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nevsky shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Deadflame's guard.

Deadflame feints and then cracks Nevsky's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nevsky down.

Nevsky is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Deadflame.

Nevsky has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Deadflame regains guard immediately.

Deadflame manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

We've been hearing good reports from Deadflame's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
