Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Woodward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Pollo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pollo has chosen Feel the boom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Phillip Woodward has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Woodward rushes Pollo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pollo is trying to maintain a safe position but Woodward gets an underhook and turns Pollo into the cage.
Pollo looking to slow down the pace here.
Woodward has Pollo pressed against the cage, preventing Pollo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Pollo has eaten all the pies!
Pollo has a couple of punches blocked by Woodward.
Pollo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Woodward is pushing Pollo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Woodward slows down the pace here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pollo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Pollo has hold of one of Woodward's legs. Woodward is fighting the takedown attempt but Pollo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Woodward looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pollo is one step ahead there.
Pollo looking to sit in guard and control but Woodward gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Woodward throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pollo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Woodward in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pollo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Woodward loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Woodward trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pollo controls Woodward momentarily but Woodward frees himself.

Woodward has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Woodward makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Pollo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pollo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pollo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pollo lands a jab to Woodward's midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Woodward changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pollo tries to avoid it but Woodward manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pollo to the ground. Pollo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It looks like Phillip Woodward has been cut.
Pollo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pollo cracks Woodward on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Woodward falls backwards against the cage. Pollo follows up with more strikes that drop Woodward to his knees. Pollo keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Woodward! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marco Pollo!
Marco Pollo decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
