Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vihtori Kellolinnake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vihtori Kellolinnake!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kellolinnake moves out of range of the strikes.
A countering left hand to the body from Kellolinnake misses.
Kellolinnake swings for the body but Henry moves out of range.
Henry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Henry takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Henry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Henry is looking to take a break and control but Kellolinnake is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Henry creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kellolinnake sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Kellolinnake can't do much from the bottom here.
We've been hearing good reports from Henry's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Henry throwing strikes but Kellolinnake manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Henry is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Henry has a hand on Kellolinnake's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kellolinnake takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Henry makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Henry.
Henry wants to get back to his feet but Kellolinnake is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kellolinnake stalks Henry and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Henry's face. Henry staggers backwards, shaken.
Kellolinnake feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Henry's calf.
Kellolinnake bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Henry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Vihtori Kellolinnake will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Henry throws an overhand right that lands on Kellolinnake's shoulder, as Kellolinnake tries to avoid the shot.
Henry gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kellolinnake slips a jab and a cross from Henry.
Henry moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Henry shoots in but Kellolinnake avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Henry on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Henry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Henry is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kellolinnake's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Henry misses with a looping right.
Kellolinnake lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kellolinnake moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Henry with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kellolinnake to score with a decent uppercut.
Kellolinnake jabs Henry right on the nose. Henry blinks but takes it well.

Henry avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kellolinnake ducks under a wild hook from Henry.
Henry keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Henry takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kellolinnake takes one on the button.
Vihtori Kellolinnake is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kellolinnake lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kellolinnake has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Kellolinnake has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Good leg kick by Kellolinnake there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Henry throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kellolinnake tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Henry is in Kellolinnake's guard.

Kellolinnake utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Henry throws a strike but Kellolinnake rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Henry wants to stand and escape but Kellolinnake is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vihtori Kellolinnake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Kellolinnake feints and then cracks Henry's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Henry down.
Henry is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Henry throws a push kick but Kellolinnake slaps the foot to one side.

Henry shoots in looking for a takedown. Kellolinnake tries to sprawl out of it but Henry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kellolinnake manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Henry shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kellolinnake napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Henry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kellolinnake keeps working.
Henry creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Kellolinnake's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Henry looks up at the clock and then as Kellolinnake takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Henry smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

John Henry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Henry wants to improve his position but Kellolinnake is controlling well.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
John Henry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A left and a right from Kellolinnake both land. Nice combination.
Kellolinnake moves away from the strike by Henry.

Henry looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Henry showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kellolinnake has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
